Mentoring Training
Overview
Mentoring tends to focus on career development and guidance and advice relating to the mentee’s role. However, it may encompass many other areas of development. As a mentor, you share knowledge and advice with someone less experienced than you in a relationship of mutual trust.
On this course, participants will learn how to form and develop the mentoring relationship. Special attention is given to the principles of successful mentoring conversations. In these conversations, the mentor helps the mentee to set goals and identify actions that they are committed to, and provides feedback and support so that the mentee understands how they are doing and how to improve.
